Nap time is becoming less and less about napping, and more about playing in her room for an hour while Daddy gets a little bit of quiet time. Well, besides listening to her read books and sing the theme songs to Bob the Builder or Super Why as if she were trying to be heard over the noise at a live concert.
Lucky for her, she’s the cutest little girl I know and love. She usually tires enough to get a short nap on her big girl Naturepedic bed before it’s time to wake up. You never know what kind of mood she’ll be in, but I happened to catch her in a good one the other day which called for a daddy-daughter selfie.
Sometimes you just have to try something new to get your kid to smile when they first wake up. Sticking a phone in their face to take a picture probably isn’t the best choice, but laying next to them to take a picture together makes all the difference. We’ll see how long that lasts…..
