NuttZo Breakfast Talk: Avery & Daddy Ep. 5

This episode of the Avery & Daddy Video Blog has been brought to you by NuttZo. They did not know I made the video and never asked me to, so therefore I was not compensated in any way. That said, I am a NuttZo Ambassador and love everything that goes in the tasty nut and seed butter as well as what doesn’t.

I just felt like going over the parts of the face that Avery is currently pointing out. As you’ll see in the video, she “nose” (#DadPun) not only her own face, but other faces too. She’ll look clear across the room to point out my pointy nose. She’s so sweet.

Since it happened to be around breakfast time, and she must eat or, well…..it happens, I figured we’d share her favorite combo of NuttZo with cinnamon and banana.. I guess we all get hangry, and when there’s NuttZo involved, there’s no waiting.

As always, hope you enjoyed our Vlog and Avery’s mad facial recognition skills, not to mention her ability to make Nuttzo and banana disappear.

Have a wonderful Friday and even better weekend!

What facial features did your kids start noticing first?

Do you love peanut butter (NuttZo is better) and banana?

Ever have a peanut butter, banana, and honey sandwich? Bliss!

Working on Animal Sounds: Avery & Daddy Episode 4

Here we are again with another episode of Avery and me vlogging it up in style! And by “style”, I mean a yogurt face toddler and her dad who’s doing good just to have a shirt on for the camera. You’re welcome.

You might’ve noticed I dropped the “Vlog” part of the title to shorten it a little. Obviously, it’s a Vlog, so no need for redundancy. Oh, and I have plenty to share about our Fourth of July weekend full of 5k fun and co-sleeping before fireworks were done, so be on the lookout for that story soon.

My wife and I praise Avery for always responding when we ask her to make a certain animal sound, but a lot them sound the same. I know in her head it’s different, and we’re proud of her efforts, so I just wanted to a record it here.

You’ll have to pardon my corny intro, it’s just part of being a Dad. Right? Right?  Plus, I thought I played it off pretty well actually. Call me biased, but…..well, just call me biased.

Hope you were able to hear her animal sounds good enough. I blame the fact I’m using the built-in audio/video from my laptop, so can’t expect high quality anything. But hey, she’s a cutie! And I bet you didn’t know a pig and a mouse sounded so similar, huh?

There will be more animal sound videos in the future, so stay tuned. Until then, hope your Monday is off to a great start and everyone’s fully recovered from the Fourth of July….if you’re in the U.S. that is.

What animal sounds are your kids making or did they make as a toddler?

Be honest, did you like my “caught off guard” intro?

Our Toddler’s Poop Frustrations: Avery & Daddy Vlog Episode 3

Looks like we’re starting another week with an even fussier toddler who really likes to poop. I mean she poops, sometimes tells me by saying what sounds like pronouncing the letter “p”, I change her, set her down to run around, and 5 minutes later I hear “p” again.

I joke around a lot, but this is not one of those times. We usually have enough cloth diapers to last a good 3 days, but after 2 days, the diaper pail is almost overflowing. It smells good too. Okay, that is me joking around. 🙂

As a stay-at-home parent, I know I need to stop the whining, so that’s what I’ll do….kinda….maybe after this post. Maybe not. Ahhh, who am I kidding? Like I have any clue what’s in store for the near and distant future; I’m sure I have plenty more whining to do.

For our third installment into the world of Vlogging, it’s just Avery sitting with me as I rant about her multiple poops so close together and her moodiness. The unimpressed look on her face throughout the video pretty much sums things up.

These Vlogs make it easier for me sometimes since Avery likes to be included (forget her glum look in what you just watched), so we’ll keep doing these. Please, for those reading, let me know what you’d like to see from us. And no, Gary, there will be no more maiming…..I hope. We did record a couple videos with Going Mom reading to Avery, so be on the lookout for those soon.

Avery still has bouts of cuteness and continues to work on her dance skills, but I miss having a full day of happy Avery. Until then, I’ll cherish any time no crying is involved, like here…..

Wouldn’t having a poop schedule to refer to reduce a parent’s stress ten-fold? I think so!
