What’s in the Grass?: #MySundayPhoto – 04.05.15

As always, I have my favorite photo subject to share with you for #MySundayPhoto. We’ve already been having borderline hot weather in Texas (nothing new), so finding shade to play is a must.

There’s a small, grassy area in our neighborhood with plenty of shade from tree cover and Avery enjoys exploring the new territory. I wish I could take credit for this excellent shot of our daughter, but my wife, Going Mom, let her skill shine for this one.

Not a clue what she was finding there, but guess we never really know what our kids find most of the time. As long as she doesn’t eat it, it’s okay. Right? Right?

Since it’s hard to just share one, here’s a pic I snapped on my phone. The quality is not as great, obviously, but that smile turns it into a priceless work of art.

How is the spring-time weather coming along where you live?

Do you have any low quality pics of your smiling kid(s) that you are simply in love with?

Peek-A-Boo Swing: #MySundayPhoto – 03.29.15

I brought Avery to a bigger park/playground near the city we live in last week. I thought it would be a nice change from the small playground in our neighborhood, but she was still only interested in picking up mulch and peek-a-boo time.

Guess we can just stay in our back yard and let her pick through the garden if that’s all she wants! Nevertheless, this playground had baby swings and she LOVES swings! I captured this pic after 100 blurry shots and love seeing her face peek over the rim.

I’m sure the time will come soon when she wants to run all over the equipment, but until then, I guess it’s just swings and mulch.

Do your kids seem to find the most random thing to play with when there is something bigger (and you think better) to enjoy?

Babywearing at the Expo: #MySundayPhoto – 03.22.15

We went to the DFW Family Expo on Saturday to join our Dallas Dads Group and Britax for a great time. Kelley put her Boba Babywearing skills to the test while there, but it wasn’t long until Avery was out and running around everywhere!

Britax put on a very detailed and informative workshop on car seat safety and we all walked away with vital information on how to keep our kids safe in the car. Avery hasn’t been around large crowds before, so she was basically crazy the entire time.

Despite the craziness, I always enjoy hanging with our Dallas Dads Group, and when Going Mom and Avery can join, all the better! I’ll give the full story on our adventure soon.

Do you enjoy going to expos?

If so, what kind and do you bring the kids?
